I have lived in Abbotsford for over 20 years and believe it is the best place to be raising my family. With an estimated population of 133,497, according to the 2011 census, Abbotsford is the largest city by area in British Columbia. We are home to the University of the Fraser Valley and Abbotsford International Airport, famous for the Abbotsford International Airshow. Surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains, valleys, lakes and rivers, our city boasts one of the most bountiful agricultural areas in Canada helping to feed the province. Within close proximity to Vancouver, and just a hop, skip and a jump from the US border, opportunities and amenities are endless. It’s no wonder Abbotsford is one of the fastest growing communities in Canada.
“It is no secret that locally run and operated businesses are more likely to invest their time and money within their own communities. I am personally involved in local business associations where I continually witness the overwhelming generosity and passion to help those who are unable to help themselves; hence Abbotsford being named by Statistics Canada as Canada’s most generous city in terms of donations for nine straight years. A community that helps local businesses flourish with unimpeded success, leads the charge in the development and sustainability of programs that look after the needs of those who are unable to look after themselves.”
I am passionate about helping those that need it most. Two causes that I continually support are Lifehaven Women’s Society and Crystal Gala Foundation. To learn more about how you can help either of these worthwhile causes, just click on the links.
